Seraphina let out a barely audible scoff, withdrew her gaze, and continued walking forward.

The assistant hurried over, bowing respectfully. "Ms. Sinclair, you've arrived."

Seraphina glanced at him. "Where's Mr. Lockwood?"

The assistant, knowing exactly how to play the room, deliberately raised his voice. "Mr. Lockwood is in his office. He has been waiting for you for quite some time."

As he spoke, he couldn't resist shooting a side-eye at Cynthia.

Cynthia's face went completely pale with rage.

Seraphina gave a brief nod. "Lead the way."

The assistant stepped aside to guide her, personally swiping his badge to open the turnstile and respectfully escorting her inside.

As they passed the head of security, the assistant paused for a fraction of a second and gave the man a pointed look.

Dustin Rhodes understood immediately. He turned and marched straight toward Cynthia. "Ma'am, please leave the premises immediately, or we will be forced to take action."

"No, I'm not leaving..."

Before Cynthia could finish, Dustin and another guard grabbed her by both arms and unceremoniously dragged her out the side entrance of the building.

"Let go of me! How dare you touch me!"

Dustin released her, took a step back, and blocked the side doors with an expressionless face.

"Ms. Ross, please cooperate and don't make this difficult for us."

Cynthia stood on the concrete steps. Strands of hair stuck to her face, and the sweat on her forehead had turned cold.

She looked down at her wrists. The guards had gripped her so hard that red marks bloomed across her pale skin.

She glared viciously at the man, her eyes zeroing in on his name badge. "Dustin Rhodes, isn't it? You dared to stop me today, but tomorrow I'll see you fired. Get out of my way."

Dustin remained still as a statue.

Cynthia pointed a trembling finger at him, looking as though she wanted to tear him apart.

Finally, she took a deep breath, stepped aside, and dug out her phone to dial Dominic's number.

Ring... ring...

It rang for a long time, but no one answered.

She dialed again.
