Cynthia reached for the bottle again, but Harvey pinned her hand down.

"You really can't drink anymore."

She didn't argue, simply leaning against him, her shoulders rising and falling.

Cynthia let out a soft, somewhat bitter laugh.

"Are all men like this? They just love leading on every woman around them."

Harvey remained silent for a few seconds.

Cynthia didn't reply. She just picked up her glass and drained the last drop of liquor.

She collapsed entirely toward Harvey.

She murmured incoherently, her hands unconsciously gripping his arms.

As if completely unaware, she reached out and wrapped her arms around him.

"I'm just so tired," her voice was muffled against his chest. "Will you take care of me?"

She climbed onto his lap as she spoke.
