"Did you really think I'd be fooled by a few pathetic tears like before?"

Several of Daniel's men caught up to her and grabbed her by the arms.

Cynthia's face went ghastly pale as she struggled violently.

"Let me go! I won't go back! Let go of me!"

But no matter how much she kicked and screamed, she couldn't break free from their iron grip.

Looking up in despair, she watched Dominic's car disappear at the end of the road, tears streaming relentlessly down her face.

The man who used to step up and defend her whenever she suffered the slightest grievance now refused to even spare her a second glance.
