That scene made Dominic feel inexplicably awful.
It was such a familiar scene...
The old him seemed to have treated Seraphina exactly like that.
Only now did he realize how hurtful those words were.
But the version of him in the dream didn't care at all.
Later, the Lockwood Group faced several crises, and it was always Seraphina who wracked her brains to solve them for him.
There were even times when his life was in imminent danger, and it was that woman who risked everything to save him.
But he never truly looked at her.
It wasn't until Lily became an adult that he finally asked Seraphina for a divorce.
The woman who had loved him for most of her life didn't argue. She simply signed her name on the divorce papers with tears in her eyes.
Afterward, he got his wish and married Cynthia.
Cynthia gave him a son and a daughter. He handed over all the Lockwood family's assets to her, and their family lived happily ever after.
While Seraphina slowly faded out of his world.
The dream continued.
Under Cynthia's constant instigation, he started targeting the Sinclair family.
First, Clara Sinclair's small food stall was accused of poisoning a customer, and she ended up in prison.
Soon after, Arthur Sinclair was framed for leaking state secrets and was also sent behind bars.
Zachary Sinclair couldn't escape either.
That once high-spirited young man was branded a rapist, despised by everyone wherever he went, living a mediocre life, and eventually dying young.
The Sinclair family was utterly destroyed just like that.
And while all this was happening, the version of him in the dream knew the truth, yet he never lifted a finger to help, even thinking they brought it upon themselves.
He saw Seraphina kneeling before him, her eyes red, begging pitifully.
"Dominic, I'm begging you. Please help my mom and dad, okay? They really didn't do those things..."
But he just coldly threw off her hand.
"Seraphina, stop bothering me! I have nothing to do with you anymore!"
The woman stumbled and collapsed onto the floor, the light in her eyes extinguishing completely.
She finally had nothing left.
No husband, no family, and even her once beloved career had long been abandoned.
Years later, Lily got into a car crash.
