Vera looked genuinely happy. She stood on her tiptoes and kissed Wilbert on the cheek.

“What’s wrong? Are you jealous?” she teased.

Chiara glanced at Titus, ready to follow them.

“What are you wearing underneath that?” Titus asked.

Chiara turned to look at him. “Of course it’s a swimsuit. What else would it be?”

Titus frowned. It was not like he was trying to sneak a peek or anything. It was just that the two women had come out together, so when he glanced over, he naturally caught a glimpse of what Vera was wearing.

“Is it the same as hers?” Titus asked.

Chiara shook her head. “Definitely not the same.”

Titus’s frown was just starting to ease when she added, “And the color’s different, too.”

“No way,” he said.

“That’s way too much skin. Go put on something else,” Titus said.

Chiara knew her swimsuit was a little on the revealing side, but she hated it when someone else called her out on it.

She could admit it to herself, but she didn’t want anyone else saying it.

“I’m not changing. Let go of me. I’m going to soak in the hot springs,” Chiara said.

“Just listen to me. Go to the changing room and put on something with more coverage,” Titus said.

“Seriously, how much coverage do you want from a swimsuit?” Chiara shot back.

Titus just kept frowning at her, not saying a word.

Chiara tried to pull her wrist free. “Are you gonna let go or not?” she said.

He finally let go, looking a bit helpless. Chiara gave him a cold glance and said, “I’m going to the women’s hot spring, not the public one. Quit freaking out!”

With that, she walked off. Titus watched her go, narrowing his eyes.

‘Women’s hot spring, huh? It better be, Titus thought to himself.

Chiara turned the corner and asked the staff where Vera had gone. They pointed her in a certain direction.

But when she walked in, she realized this was the public hot spring.

It was the kind where guys and girls could soak together.

Chiara glanced at the four people in the pool, her eyes flicking over to Jeffrey. He’d been busy flirting with his girlfriend, but now he glanced her way too.

Still, Vera’s words lingered in her mind.

She quickly averted her gaze, just about to say, “I was actually planning to go to the women’s…”

But just then, Titus walked in behind her, slinging his arm around her shoulders.

“Let’s go soak somewhere else,” he said.

“Oh, so you two are gonna have a private soak, huh?” Vera teased, clearly trying to stir things up.

Chiara thought to herself, ‘If I don’t soak here, it’ll just be me and Titus alone.’

After weighing her options, she slipped out of his arm. “I think it’s way more fun to soak with everyone.”

Vera turned around and leaned against the rock. “Exactly! It’s way more fun with a crowd.”

Titus’s gaze grew darker, lips pressed tight as he watched Chiara grab her robe and walk down the steps. He finally looked relieved when he saw she was still in her robe as she got into the pool.

‘Who actually gets into a hot spring with a robe on?’ Titus thought.

So once Chiara was in the water, she took off her robe and tossed it onto the rock.

The hot spring pool was massive, easily big enough to fit thirty or forty people.

Steam drifted everywhere, so you could barely see anything through the mist.

It was pretty hot when she first got in, but after a bit, she got used to it. Chiara could feel all her stress just slipping away. It was seriously relaxing.

Chiara lifted her arm out of the water and draped it over the rock.

Her pale skin was already flushed pink from soaking in the hot spring.

Titus moved over beside her. Chiara shot him a glance but kept quiet.

With other people in the pool, she felt comfortable and relaxed.

The staff came in with a floating tray, loaded up with ice-cold fruit, drinks, and even some red wine.

Titus glanced over at Chiara. Her hair was damp from the steam, a bead of sweat glistening on her nose, and her cheeks were flushed pink. She looked absolutely irresistible.

He hadn’t been thinking about anything at first, but now he suddenly found himself getting a little tempted.

His voice was a little husky as he asked, “What do you want to drink?”

Chiara glanced at the tray and said, “Juice is fine, thanks.”

Titus picked up a glass of juice and handed it to her.

While everyone was soaking, Wilbert started sharing the story of how this whole resort came to be.

“So, Chiara, what do you think of my resort?” Wilbert asked with a grin.

“Right? It took me two and a half years to get this place ready. We’re not even officially open yet. Next month is the grand opening. I wanted everyone to come try it out before we launch Not bad, huh?” Wilbert said.

Chiara smiled and nodded. “It’s really nice.”
