Chapter 254
Chapter 254
When they got home, Greta heard the noise and came out, only to see Kason carrying Heather out of the passenger seat.
“What happened to her?” Greta asked.
“She passed out,” Kason replied.
“Passed out?” Greta caught the strong smell of alcohol on them. “Did she get drunk?”
“Yeah,” Kason said, carrying her into the villa.
“Should I whip up some hangover remedy for her?” Greta asked, trailing after them.
Kason glanced at the passed-out Heather in his arms. “Tomorrow morning.”
Greta nodded, watching them head upstairs. She pulled her shawl tighter around her shoulders and turned toward the kitchen.
She started getting the ingredients ready for the hangover remedy, one by one,
Inside the room, Kason carried Heather and set her straight into the bathtub without ceremony.
Thankfully, the water was warm, but as soon as she touched it, Heather was startled awake.
She instinctively leaned against the edge of the tub, gripping it with both hands, and looked up at him, still a little out of it
Kason towered over her, a faint smirk playing on his lips.
“So, Mrs. Bradford, feeling sober yet?” he teased.
But it didn’t seem to work. Heather just stared up at him with a blank look, her eyes unfocused and lost.
“What are you doing?” she asked.
Kason narrowed his eyes and tilted her chin up. “What do you think I’m doing?”
After a moment, Heather blinked in confusion. “Why am I in the bathtub? I’ve already showered. I want to get
out.”
As soon as she tried to get up, the alcohol hit her hard. Her head was spinning from moving too fast.
For a few seconds, everything went white before her eyes.
She wobbled dangerously, but Kason, with a stern look, caught her arm before she could topple over.
“Stay still!” he snapped.
“I don’t want to take a bath! I already showered, just let me get out of here!” Heather protested.
Kason gently turned her face to look at him, noticing her eyes were swollen and red.
She must’ve cried her eyes out back in the private room.
“Guess you’re still not sober,” he remarked.
With that, he pushed her back down into the tub, not taking no for an answer.
“I told you I’m not taking a bath! Can’t you understand? Let go of me! Let go!” Heather shouted, struggling.

Chapter 254
“Heather!” Kason silapped.
“Let go! Let go of me!” she kept yelling.
Kason got drenched as Heather flailed around, and he clenched his jaw, grabbing her chin.
“Need to be put in your place, huh?” he growled.
They wrestled and made a mess of things for a whole hour, and by the time they finally got out, an hour had already gone by.
Heather was completely wiped out. As soon as Kason laid her down on the bed, she crashed out cold.
Kason stood by the bed, looking down at her. After a moment, he slowly raised his hand and glanced at it.
The wound, after soaking in the water, looked pale and soft. He frowned.
His face instantly turned cold. Staring at Heather’s sleeping face, he slipped his finger between her lips.
His fingertip lightly hooked her two sharp teeth.
“Next time you bite me, I’ll file those teeth down myself,” he muttered.
Heather instinctively tried to push his finger away, still half-asleep.
Only then did Kason slowly withdraw his finger, giving her cheek a gentle pat as he spoke.
“I’ll let you off the hook tonight, but we’ll settle the score tomorrow,” he said.
With that, he slid past her to the other side of the bed, reached over to turn off the light, and then pulled her into his arms.
‘Isn’t that what wives are for? To keep the bed warm?’ Kason thought to himself.
Kason didn’t waste the chance to enjoy Heather’s warmth to the fullest.
With her soft warmth nestled in his arms, how could he not feel completely at ease?
It wasn’t until the next morning that Heather finally woke up. She was a bit late. The spot next to her was already empty.
She sat up, her head pounding like it was about to split open.
For a moment, she couldn’t remember a thing about last night.
All she could recall was that she kept losing at those games, drank way too much, and vaguely remembered dancing at the end.
‘Did I dance? Wait, was it pole dancing?’ The thought made her freeze.
Her face went stiff with embarrassment, which was rare for her. She glanced at the spot next to her. Someone had definitely slept there last night.
‘Did Kason really bring me back last night?’ she thought.
But honestly, she couldn’t remember a thing.
She rubbed her temples and grabbed her phone. Her eyes widened when she saw it was already eight.
She quickly got out of bed and rushed into the bathroom to freshen up.

After getting dressed, she hurried downstairs and spotted Kason at the dining table.

Gael was also there, eating breakfast, with several documents spread out on the table between them. The two of them looked like they were discussing business.
When they heard her come in, both men looked up at her at the same time.
Gael stood up from his chair and gave her a polite nod. “Good morning, Mrs. Bradford.”
Heather nodded back. “Morning.”
At the office, Gael always called her Ms. Lynch, but outside of work, he switched to Mrs. Bradford.
‘How does he always know when to switch?’ Heather wondered.
Kason kept his eyes on her, and Heather could tell something was up, probably because of what happened last night.
She’d spotted the marks all over her body while showering.
Looked like someone had deliberately put them there.
Still, she didn’t let it show on her face and just pulled out a chair, sitting down as if nothing had happened.
Gael passed her a document.
Heather shot him a look before accepting it. Lynch Group was still her family’s business. She might not have the final say on everything now, but people couldn’t just go over her head.
After reading it, she nodded. “I’m fine with it.”
“Alright,” Gael replied.
Kason glanced at Gael. “Done eating?”
Gael nodded. “Yeah, I’m done. I’ll wait in the car.”
With that, he stood up and picked up his sandwich to take with him.
Heather could tell Gael was deliberately making himself scarce.
But she pretended not to notice, taking a sip of the century egg and pork congee, then nibbling on some fried egg and sausage.
Her stomach was still on fire, burning and churning inside.
Greta brought over a bowl of hangover soup. “Mrs. Bradford, here’s some hangover soup. Drink it while it’s still hot.”
‘Hangover soup? Guess I really blacked out last night. It was just a few drinks, wasn’t it? That stuff must’ve been seriously strong, she wondered.
“Thanks…” she murmured, taking the bowl and sipping the soup while it was still hot.
The soup was steaming hot, but as soon as it settled in her stomach, a soothing coolness spread through her. There had to be
some mint in there.
