When She Ended It With Divorce (Chiara and Titus) novel Chapter 262

Chapter 262

Chapter 262

“No way. You know my rule. I never go back to my exes, no matter how tempting it is,” Kason said.

“You!” The woman looked like she was about to lose it.

“I don’t care. I want you, even if it means sharing you with someone else. Kason, have you really forgotten how good we had it? I know you haven’t, right? I miss you. I really, really do.”

Heather had heard enough. Without hesitation, she pushed open the door and flicked on the lights.

Kason and the woman on the couch turned to stare at the doorway.

The woman, perched on Kason’s lap, instantly changed her expression when she saw Heather standing there.

“Heather?” Kason barely glanced at Heather before looking away.

He gave the woman on his lap a casual pat, sounding totally unfazed. “My wife’s here. Shouldn’t you get off now?”

The woman’s face was a whole mess of shock and embarrassment.

She hopped off Kason’s lap in a hurry, nervously fixing her hair, barely daring to glance at Heather.

Heather kept her gaze locked on the woman, not looking away for ages.

The woman started to get uneasy, thinking, ‘Is Heather going to throw hands?’

Kason just kept quiet, watching Heather’s reaction.

But he noticed that since she’d walked in, she hadn’t spared him a single look. Her attention was locked on the other woman.

Kason narrowed his eyes. “So, Mrs. Bradford, are you here to bust me for cheating?”

The woman’s eye twitched at his words.

‘Busting him for cheating? We didn’t even do anything, okay?’ she thought. ‘He literally just rejected me.’

She shot Kason a dirty look, but could only try to explain herself to Heather, ‘No, no, Mr. Bradford was just kidding. Nothing happened, I swear.”

But Heather didn’t even care about that. She walked over and set the emerald pendant she’d just bid on the coffee table.

Only then did she turn to face the seductive woman.

Their eyes met, and the woman looked a little embarrassed, like she wished the ground would just swallow her up.

It wasn’t like she didn’t know Heather was with Kason, but seeing him again just brought back all those memories of what they used to have.

She just couldn’t get those memories out of her head, so she ended up trailing after him.

She thought she’d finally get her way, but instead, she was caught red-handed by Heather.

Honestly, she just felt super guilty about it.

“You two can talk, I’ll just head out now,” she mumbled.

But Heather called out, stopping her in her tracks. “Mrs. Ross.”

Chapter 262

Hearing her name, Cecilia Ross felt a chill run down her spine. Her arm hairs actually stood on end. She shot Heather a nervous, uneasy look.

But Heather, seeing her anxiety, dropped a bombshell that made her even more terrified.

“Does Mr. Ross know you’re out here trying to hook up with your old flame?” Heather asked.

Cecilia was completely panicked, stammering, “1-1…”

She wanted to explain herself, but nothing came out. Heather had busted her right in the act, and even if she wanted to claim it was all a misunderstanding, the words just stuck in her throat.

All she could do was give Kason a pleading look, hoping he’d bail her out and say something to calm Heather down.

After all, they’d had a thing before. Surely that meant he’d still care a little, right?

But she’d seriously underestimated how heartless Kason could be. Once he was done with someone, he’d already moved on. and there was no way he’d ever look back.

He wouldn’t offer even the most basic courtesy a man would offer.

Kason met her desperate look and just shrugged, making it clear there was nothing he could do.

Cecilia was sweating bullets. She bit her lip, then finally caved and apologized to Heather, “I’m sorry, Mrs. Bradford. I swear I’ll never try to seduce Mr. Bradford again. Please, just let me off the hook this once. I promise.”

But Heather just shook her head. “I don’t need an apology from you.”

“Wait, what?” Cecilia was totally stunned.

Kason just smirked at Heather, like he was waiting to see what trick she had up her sleeve.

“I don’t care what kind of person you are, but I do need a favor from you, Mrs. Ross,” Heather said.

Cecilia was even more lost. ‘How could I possibly help Heather out?’ she thought, totally baffled.

Honestly, she was just a gold-digger. After Kason kicked her to the curb, she was back on the prowl for her next sugar daddy, which was how she landed her current husband.

But the guy was nearly twenty years older than her.

He just couldn’t satisfy her. She was pushing thirty, right in her prime, hungry for the kind of passion he just couldn’t deliver.

But with her social status, she didn’t dare risk her reputation by fooling around outside.

Still, she was married to a rich guy now, living that rich wife life.

She tried to keep her image squeaky clean, but seeing Kason today just made her lose all self-control. She just couldn’t resist the temptation.

Now, though, she was seriously kicking herself. She should’ve hold back.

“Wh-what kind of favor do you want from me?” she stammered.

Heather smiled. “I remember your stepson is a diplomat, right?”

Cecilia nodded. “Yeah, but we don’t get along. He’s always hated that his dad married me.”

Chapter 262

“But I’m sure you’ll find a way, won’t you?” Heather pressed.

Cecilia was about to burst into tears. She glanced at Kason, who just sat there like nothing was happening, and at that moment, she wanted to call him every name in the book.

‘What a cold bastard!’ she cursed in her head. ‘He’s just sitting there, letting his current wife roast his ex

“So what exactly do you want me to help you with?” Cecilia asked.

“Let’s add each other on WhatsApp first. As for the favor I need, I’ll message you about it,” Heather said.

Cecilia, on the verge of tears, pulled out her phone, and they exchanged WhatsApp contacts.

After that, Cecilia couldn’t wait to get out of there.

“We’re connected on WhatsApp now. Can I leave?” she asked.

Heather waved her hand dismissively, signaling that Cecilia was free to go.

Cecilia practically bolted, not even bothering to look back as she hurried out of the room.

Once Cecilia was gone, Heather followed suit and turned to leave the room.

She seemed completely uninterested in Kason the whole time.

But just as Heather reached for the doorknob, Kason suddenly pressed her hard against the door.

“Kason, what are you doing?” Heather demanded.

“Shouldn’t I be asking you that, Mrs. Bradford? What kind of game were you playing just now, hmm?” Kason said.

“It’s none of your business. Let me go,” Heather retorted, trying to push him off.

Just remembering how Heather had turned away so nonchalantly, like he was nothing, sent a wave of frustration through

Kason.

He grabbed her waist, his grip tight.

Heather gasped in pain.

Heather winced, her body instinctively softening.

The next moment, Kason spun her around to face him.

Heather looked up at him, catching the chill in his gaze before she finally spoke.

“Sorry, I honestly wasn’t trying to crash your little party. I just needed her for something. If you’re still interested, you can always hit her up next time.”

Heather winced, her brows furrowing in pain as her body instinctively curled forward, ending up crashing right into his

arms.

“Why are you grabbing me like that?” she snapped.

“Hit her up next time?” Kason challenged.

Heather pressed her lips together, thinking, ‘If he’s still interested in that woman, he can just hit her up next time!’

“Say it. I want to hear you say it,” Kason pushed.

Heather took a deep breath, her face calm as she met his gaze.

“So what do you actually want from me? Wasn’t I reasonable enough? Or are you just not happy with how I handled things?”
