Chapter 303
Chapter 303
After they left the hospital, Chiara thought back to the way Yves had looked at them and couldn’t help but feel something
was off.
Titus noticed her sudden pause and stopped too, glancing at her with concern.
“What’s wrong?” he asked.
Chiara looked up at him and replied, “Nothing. I just thought Yves looked at us with a kind of weird look.”
Titus calmly reached for her hand and said in a low voice, “I know exactly what’s on his mind.”
“What is he thinking?” Chiara asked.
“He’s a doctor, so he could easily figure out when you got pregnant. He’s just messing with me,” Titus replied.
Chiara was at a loss for words. ‘Well, that does make sense,’ she thought.
‘So basically, anyone can do the math and figure out exactly when I got pregnant?’
Titus seemed to catch her drift and squeezed her hand. “Maybe we should keep it under wraps for a while?”
Chiara shook her head and said, “Secrets don’t stay hidden forever, you know.”
Obviously, it was impossible. Sooner or later, she’d have to give birth.
“Forget it,” she added.

Even though it was unexpected that Chiara was pregnant so soon, Titus was honestly excited about the baby. He reached out and gently touched her belly. He said in a low voice, “I hope this one’s a little girl, just like you.”
Chiara brushed his hand away and said, “Doesn’t matter if it’s a boy or a girl, I like them.”
Titus raised an eyebrow, a soft smile on his face. “Yeah, as long as they’re ours, that’s all that matters. Let’s go.”
“Okay,” Chiara replied.
Even though Chiara’s pregnancy hadn’t gone public yet, Lindsay, Ana, and Heather were already in the loop.
“You’re pregnant! That’s great news!” Lindsay exclaimed.
Heather paused, then asked, “How long has it been?”
Chiara just stared at her, speechless.
Before she could say anything, Titus jumped in. “It’s only been a month.”
Heather just stared, lost for words.
Ana and Lindsay exchanged glances, both at a loss for words.
Chiara couldn’t help but rub her forehead.
After a brief, awkward silence, Heather finally broke the ice with a half-smile, her tone impossible to read. “Well, that was
fast,
Chiara gave Titus a subtle glare before turning to Heather. “Why don’t you stay for dinner tonight?”

Chapter 303
Heather always came here, but she never spent the night.
That was something she and Kason had agreed on.
He let her come home to visit, but she couldn’t stay over.
Heather glanced at her watch and replied, “No, I will head back. Greta already has dinner ready for me?
As Heather got up to leave, Chiara called out, “Keep me posted if anything comes up.”
Heather glanced at her and nodded, then looked over at Titus and Ryan.
Looking at them now, it still looked like a happy family.
Heather gave a small smile and nodded. “Got it. Just relax and take care of yourself and the baby
Heather wasn’t about to get Chiara mixed up in this. She’d deal with it herself.
After dinner, Titus slipped upstairs after Chiara and followed her back to the bedroom.
“What are you doing?” Chiara asked.
Titus came over, crouched down in front of her, and gently took her hand. “Since you’re expecting now, can I move in and stay with you?” he asked.
“Move in?” Chiara frowned. “Because I’m pregnant?”
“Yeah, you’re pregnant now, so you don’t have to worry about me making a move on you. I just want to be here for you and the baby,” Titus said.
As he spoke, Titus gently placed his hand on her belly, a hint of sadness flickering in his eyes as his voice dropped low.
“I missed out on Ryan once already. I don’t want to miss this time. Is that okay?” he said softly.
Chiara shot him a weird look and said, “Titus, we’re not actually back together.”
Titus paused, then looked up at her, giving her a small, determined smile as he nodded.
“Yes, I know. But I’m going to keep trying,” he said.
‘Keep trying? Is he hoping I’ll forgive him or something?’ Chiara wondered/
But in fact, Chiara had never really hated him. Any resentment she’d had slowly faded away after Lena’s incident.
Honestly, she didn’t know how she felt about Titus anymore.
But it seemed like life kept tying her and Titus together, no matter what happened.
“What if I never let you back in?” Chiara asked.
Titus suddenly took her hand and kissed it softly.
“Then I’ll spend my whole life trying to win you back, so our baby can have a complete family,” he said gently.
Chiara couldn’t shake the feeling that he was using the baby as leverage over her.
But right now, he looked so genuine, it was hard not to believe he meant every word.
Chiara pulled her hand back and turned her gaze away. “If you want to stay, then stay.”

Chapter 303
Titus raised an eyebrow and said, “I’ll be back at the office next month, so I won’t be bothering you during the day. But at night, I really want to spend time with you and our baby.”
Chiara got up and walked toward the bathroom, saying, “Do whatever you want. You never listen to me anyway.”
Titus reached out and grabbed her wrist. “I do listen to you.”
Chiara shot him a look and said, “So if I told you to keep your distance, would you actually do it?”
Titus pressed his lips together, his voice low. “Anything but that.”
Chiara pulled her hand away and said, “I’m going to take a shower.”
Titus watched her walk into the bathroom, one eyebrow raised. He turned to look at the big bed, and a satisfied grin crept onto his face.
Lindsay saw him coming downstairs with his hands in his pockets, looking way too pleased.
Before she could even ask what had him in such a good mood, Titus spoke up first, “Bring all my toiletries over here later.”
Lindsay gave him a knowing look, thinking, ‘No wonder he’s so happy!
“Mr. Goodman, you’ve succeeded in doing it!” Lindsay teased.
Titus gave her a sideways glance and said, “Lindsay, keep low-keyed.”
Lindsay just stared at him, speechless.
Still, even as she grumbled in her head, she got moving right away.
When Chiara stepped out of the shower, she found Lindsay coming in, arms loaded with Titus’s stuff.
“Mrs. Goodman, I’ve brought all of Mr. Goodman’s things over,” Lindsay said with a cheeky grin.
‘You sure move fast,’ Chiara thought.
“Where is he?” Chiara asked.
“He’s on the phone with Paul. Chiara, where do you want me to put all this?” Lindsay asked.
Chiara glanced at the still-damp bathroom, then pointed to the sofa. “Just leave them here for now.”
“Sure thing!” Lindsay grinned, looking absolutely delighted.
Chiara paused, then couldn’t help but ask, “Why are you so happy?”
“Of course I am! It’s just so nice seeing the whole family together and getting along. What could be better? You and Mr. Goodman never have to worry about money, and if you all live together happily, that’s what I call real happiness, right?” Lindsay said, beaming.
Chiara had to admit that Lindsay’s thought was just normal.
“Alright, I’ll get dinner started,” Lindsay added.
Chiara nodded, then walked over to the sofa and opened the bag. Inside were all of Titus’s personal belongings.
She picked up the bag, ready to head into the bathroom, but stopped dead in her tracks right at the door.
‘Why am I even putting his stuff in here? There are so many rooms in this place,’ she thought.

She stood there, lost in thought for a long moment, and Lindsay’s words kept echoing in her mind.
She glanced down at her belly. After a moment, she finally pushed open the bathroom door.
