Chapter 313
Chapter 313
Heather glanced down at the arm wrapped around her waist.
“Nothing much is going on at work. I just wanted to take a look,” she said.
Kason tightened his grip around her waist, murmuring in her ear in a deep, husky voice, “Now that you’re here, you’re coming home with me.”
Heather turned her head slightly and asked, “Are you sure that’s alright?”
Kason chuckled softly, nibbling on her ear, his tone light and teasing.
“It’s exciting like this, but let’s not go overboard. I’m not a fan of women giving me attitude,” he teased.
Heather just arched her brows, letting the little scene slide.
She wasn’t the type to dwell on the past. Honestly, she’d known exactly what kind of man Kason was from the very beginning.
Even when they were broken up, there were still other women around him.
But that was none of her business. She’d always been clear about where she stood with Kason.
Heather gave his arm a light tap. “Let me go.”
Kason raised an eyebrow. “What for?”
“Just let go,” she said, a little firmer.
Kason finally loosened his hold, watching as Heather walked over. She grabbed her bathrobe off the floor and slipped it back on. Then Kason turned and flashed her a quick smile.
“I’m going to sleep in the next room. You know I’m a clean freak. If I can avoid compromising, I will,” Heather said.
‘God knows how many women have been in this bed,’ she thought.
With that, she headed for the door. This time, Kason didn’t stop her. He just watched quietly as she walked out.
He let out a low chuckle as the door closed behind her, then glanced at her suitcase before heading into the bathroom.
Not one to miss out, Kason followed her into the next room. He hadn’t been interested at first, but seeing Heather leave suddenly sparked something in him.
That night turned out to be both memorable and satisfying.
As dawn broke, Heather instinctively started to get up, but Kason wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her right back into bed.
Kason, still half-asleep, mumbled, “Where are you going?”
Heather replied, “Go to work.”
Kason chuckled softly, pulling her back into his arms and kissing her back.
“You have to work in Micashy?” he asked with a smirk.
That was when it hit Heather. She wasn’t in Halinston anymore. She was in Mieashy.
Chapter 313
Heather picked up her phone and glanced at the time. ‘Don’t you have to get up early?” she asked
Kason stretched lazily and replied, “Nope.”
Heather fell silent for a moment before speaking, “Honestly, that’s pretty enviable.”
Kason kept his arm around her, pinched the bridge of his nose, and said, “But we should probably get up
With that, he sat up and dialed Gael.
“Come pick me up in an hour,” Kason said.
“I’m almost there,” Gael replied.
Kason paused for a few seconds, then said, “Let’s get breakfast together.”
After hanging up, Kason glanced back at Heather, who was still lounging in bed with her eyes closed, looking all lazy and comfortable. He smiled and gave her waist a playful pinch.
“Time to get up,” he said.
Heather looked at him with half-open eyes and said, “Why should I bother getting up so early when you’re the one heading to work?”
It was not often she got a break from work.
Kason looked at her with a teasing grin. “Aren’t you here to check up on me?”
Heather just stared at him, keeping quiet. Technically, her actions did count as checking up on him.
“How are you supposed to keep an eye on me if you’re not following me around all the time?” Kason joked.
With that, he gave her a playful smack on the hip and tossed the covers aside. Then he headed straight into the bathroom.
Heather caught a glimpse of the scratch marks on his back and instantly averted her gaze, feeling a little awkward.
‘He was the one going wild last night, like a wolf. It’s not like I was the one who couldn’t control myself, she thought, a bit amused.
With the shower running in the background, Heather slowly sat up, grabbed her phone, and checked her messages from Robyn.
Robyn: [Did you get there safely?]
Heather figured Robyn was probably hinting at something else, so she got out of bed and threw on her bathrobe. She pulled open the curtains, snapped a picture of the view outside, and sent it over.
Robyn: [Looks like you two really hit it off last night?]
Heather: [Yep.]
Just then, she saw a car pull into the yard.
Gael got out of the car and iminediately noticed someone on the second floor. With the sunlight reflecting off the glass, all he could tell was that it was a woman.
Kason came out of the bathroom and looked at her. “What are you looking at?”
“Gael’s here,” Heather replied.

Chapter 313
“Alright, hop in the shower, then come down for breakfast,” Kason said.
Kason came downstairs by himself. Gael gave him a knowing look.
“Thought you said you weren’t interested last night?” Gael teased.
Kason smirked, straightening his cuffs as he pulled out a chair and sat down.
“It was a surprise, and I can’t send it back,” he replied.
Gael smirked and took a sip of his coffee. He was just about to say something when footsteps sounded from upstairs.
He glanced up, not really paying much attention at first. But the moment he saw who it was, he froze for a second.
Kason watched Gael’s face with obvious amusement and let out a low chuckle.
Gael pressed his lips together and shot Kason a look.
Heather strolled over and called out to Gael first.
“Morning, Gael,” she said.
Gael glanced up at her and gave a nod. “Morning, Ms. Lynch.”
Heather pulled out the chair next to Kason and sat down, just as the maid brought out breakfast.
“Good morning, Mrs. Bradford,” the maid greeted.
Heather smiled back. “Good morning.”
After all, it was thanks to Greta’s help that Heather had gotten last night, so the maid immediately recognized her as someone important.
A faint hickey was showing on Heather’s neck. The maid noticed it, giving her a knowing smile before heading off.
Kason glanced at her and then asked Gael, “What’s on the agenda for today?”
Gael shot Heather a look, making it pretty obvious what he meant.
“She’s tagging along with us today,” Kason said.
Gael just stared at the two of them, his face unreadable. Kason added, “She doesn’t really trust me, so she’s gotta follow me around all day.”
Heather shot him a playful smile and said, “Or I could just go explore on my own.”
Kason raised an eyebrow and said, “You’d better stick with me. This isn’t Halinston, and with how stunning you are, people are bound to notice.”
Heather gave him a skeptical look. “Really? In broad daylight? You think I’ve never traveled before?”
Gael chimed in, “Seriously, dangerous incidents happen here all the time.”
With that, he pulled out a pistol from behind his back and slapped it down on the table.
Heather choked on her milk. The sip stuck in her throat.
Her eyes were glued to the pistol.

Chapter 313
Kason snatched the pistol and tossed it back to Gael Quit scaring her”
Heather wasn’t the type to overreact or get all dramatic, but seeing an actual pistol on the table did make her pause for a second.
It indeed took her by surprise.
After breakfast, the three of them headed out together.
Since she finally got a break from work on this trip, Heather only brought everyday outfits. There was no trace of the CEO
aura.
Walking next to Kason, she looked a bit out of place. It was obvious to everyone that Heather wasn’t his secretary or just a female companion.
After all, if she were just his female companion, she wouldn’t be dressed so relaxed and comfortable, and her whole expression wouldn’t be this calm.
Some people here already knew that Kason was married back home.
But it never crossed their minds that Heather was actually his wife.
“Kason, who’s this?” someone asked.
Kason glanced at Heather and took her hand, saying, “This is my wife, Heather Lynch.”
“Your wife! She’s drop-dead gorgeous,” someone exclaimed.
Heather flashed a confident smile as she shook hands with everyone.
