Wrong Bride True Luna (Amelia and Logan) novel Chapter 12

CHAPTER 12

Logan

It’s been three days since Amelia walked out of my house and Marcel still hasn’t found her. Every time I demand updates on her whereabouts, I get slapped with the same answer – dead end.

I can’t believe this is really happening. How, just how in hell does one woman just disappear?

It’s impossible for someone to stand in my territory and then just don’t the next moment.

And the worst part is that Marcel claims Amelia vanished after the border lockdown.

At first, I thought she was hiding and it’ll take my men a day, maybe two, to find her. But today, just a minute ago, I got the latest update the border patrol found Amelia’s clothes just outside my territory.

Every single person who’s involved with the search is completely convinced that Amelia decided to go rogue and leave the pack behind.

“Impossible!” I hiss as I grab a large book from my desk and throw it against the wall.

Amelia would never go rogue. She’s seen what those monsters can be and that woman is too kind hearted to ever become one of them. Just because I don’t like Amelia doesn’t mean I can’t admit that she’s mostly kind to everyone around her.

“Alpha Logan, calm down,” Marcel says calmly, holding his hands up in surrender. “I’m sure we’ll find her soon.”

“No!” I scream at the top of my lungs and turn on him. “Are you stupid or are you just pretending to be? You’re the Beta of my goddamn pack, you’re supposed to have brain cells! Which part of ‘they found her clothes outside the border’ you didn’t understand?”

Marcel rolls his eyes, “listen, man, I think you’re overreacting. We all know Amelia ha been over the top and she loves exaggerating everything. I’m sure she’s trying to pull attention on her now that Katherine is back, that’s all. Just give her a couple of days and come back crawling.”

His dismissive attitude doesn’t sit right with me. If it were up to my Beta, he’d drop the sea efforts for good.

“A couple of days?” I hiss and take a step closer to him. “You mean the three days we’ve already been searching for her and couldn’t locate her? How much more time am I supposed to give?”

“Why do you even care so much?” Marcel asks, his voice laced with disbelief and the question sends me over the edge.

I grab the first thing at hand, a table lamp, and throw it at Marcel’s head, barely missing as my

she might hide, whom she could go to, I’ll deem you as an accomplice to her crime.”

Every word that leaves me is a growl to deliver the point of how serious I’m being about the issue.

First, he looks shocked, even offended, but then, Ronan clears his throat. “I believe there is one person I know she could try to run to. An old friend of mine she once was close to, Professor Michael Golden.”

“Call him. Now.” I growl.

Ronan’s eyes widen but he does as I command. When Michael answers the call, Ronan instantly demands to know if Amelia is with him. Michael’s answer catches me off guard, “I wouldn’t tell you even if I knew where she is. Must I remind you that you have always had only one daughter? It’s Katherine, not Amelia, don’t go running around playing daddy of the year, Ronan.”

Ronan looks like he’s about to blow up, his finger already hovers over the screen so I know he’s planning to end the call. I don’t let him do that – I snatch the phone from him and growl. “This is Alpha Logan Grayson, I demand you disclose my Luna’s whereabouts.”
