Betrayed and Dumped She Rose Stronger Than Ever novel Chapter 180

"Lottie, wake up. Are you drunk?" Rebecca called out as she walked over, her voice cutting through the noise.

Will jumped at the sound, his gaze snapping to the two girls heading his way. For a moment, he just stared. Both girls were absolutely stunning, their looks and confidence miles above the girl hanging on his arm. A slow, smug grin crept onto his face.

"Do you two know Lottie? We were just heading to another party. You're welcome to join us," he offered, his eyes lingering way too long. Rebecca felt a wave of disgust.

"Lottie, are you going with this guy because you want to?" Rebecca called again, her voice firmer.

Lottie didn't respond. Rebecca reached out for her, but Will stepped in, blocking her with a fake smile. "Careful, gorgeous. You can touch me if you want, but hands off my friend."

His tone was slimy, and Rebecca's patience snapped. With both Rebecca and Cindy standing their ground, Will could tell things weren't going his way. He clenched his jaw, trying to keep his cool. "Ladies, my friend and I have somewhere to be. Maybe we can chat another time."

Rebecca wasn't moving. "Are you sure she's going with you because she wants to?"

Will's patience was gone. "What are you getting at?" His mask slipped, and he shoved Rebecca's hand away. "Get lost!"

Cindy stepped up, ready to fight. "How dare you put your hands on my friend!"

All the shouting must have snapped Lottie out of her haze. She looked up, rubbing her temples. The moment she saw Rebecca, her face twisted in anger. "You again? Seriously? Just my luck."

Rebecca's heart sank. Clutching her purse, she took a steadying breath. "Just answer me. Are you going with him because you want to, or is he forcing you? If it's the second—"

Will chuckled, rubbing his chin. He hadn't used his toys in ages. He'd planned on breaking out the whole collection, but now it looked like he'd only get to try half. Shame.

The next day was the last workday of the year. Most people had plans to party through the night and welcome the new year.

Cindy messaged Rebecca early. "Want to celebrate tonight? I booked a room at the club. We can watch the fireworks."

Rebecca replied, "Thanks, but I'm heading home to rest." She was beyond tired, and finally having a break felt like a luxury.

When she got home, Samantha was just setting the table for dinner. "It's New Year's Eve. Are you going out with friends?" she asked, reaching out to gently ruffle Rebecca's hair.
