Rebirth Revenge Is Everything (Ariana) novel Chapter 751

Several days had passed.

Every time Ariana saw Carson, it was as if he were invisible—just as he had demanded, she was no longer acting as his mother.

This cold-shouldering made Carson grow more irritable and anxious with each passing day. He even cried secretly in the middle of the night, haunted by nightmares of being abandoned by both his father and mother.

Finally, regret began to set in. If he had to choose between Sheryl and his mother, he realized his mother was the better option after all… The thought that she might not want him anymore brought tears to his eyes.

Sheryl wasn’t having an easy time either. Although she remained a servant in the Stone Family household, her duties had changed drastically. Gone were the light tasks she used to handle; now she was assigned backbreaking work like weeding the rear garden or deep cleaning. The grueling labor wore on her, and she grew increasingly resentful, convinced that Ariana had deliberately ordered this to make her suffer.

The thought filled Sheryl with bitterness and hatred, her eyes darkening with venomous resentment. She loathed Ariana for treating her this way—condemning her so harshly when she hadn’t even done anything wrong. How cruel and vicious!

She also understood that her chances with Lambert were likely ruined. Her earlier misstep had alerted everyone, and now he no longer allowed her to serve him, cutting off any opportunity to get close. If she still hoped to climb the social ladder, she would have to shift her focus to someone else…

Arnold, perhaps?

A glint of determination flashed in Sheryl’s eyes as she solidified her resolve.

Just then, Carson came running over from somewhere, sobbing loudly as he tugged at her sleeve. “Waaah! I want to go home! Take me home, Sister Sheryl! I don’t want to stay here anymore!” After all, Sheryl had taken care of him for so long—whether out of genuine care or pretense, she held a significant place in his heart.

But at that moment, Sheryl was in no mood to humor him.

When she and Carson were first sent back to the main residence, she had assumed Carson was just temporarily out of favor. After all, how could a father truly disown his own son? So she had continued to curry favor with Carson. But as time passed, it became clear that Carson had genuinely fallen from grace. It made sense, she supposed—in wealthy families with so many children, especially since Lambert already had two other sons, it was only natural for a father to grow distant from a child who displeased him.

It was around then that Sheryl truly began to panic.

Not only had Carson lost his father’s favor, but even the Old Madam now treated Carson with indifference. Everyone in the villa knew that Carson was disliked by the future head of the family, and the respectful treatment he once received had vanished. Unaware that this was deliberately orchestrated by Lambert, Sheryl simply attributed it to the cold-hearted nature of wealthy households. To her, a disgraced young master was of no use anymore, so her attitude toward him grew increasingly cold.

Now, watching Carson weep and carry on noisily after she had already endured a long, exhausting day, Sheryl felt her patience snap. Her voice was icy as she said, "If you want to go back, then go back yourself. I’m just a servant—what can I possibly do to help?"

Carson’s sobs hiccupped to a halt. He stared blankly at her and stammered, "But… but you were the one who said that Mom likes me best, that if my little sister weren’t around, Mom would love me. That’s why I… I pinched her. And now Mom doesn’t want me anymore… Waaah!"

Sheryl’s face paled instantly. "I never said any such thing, Young Master. You acted on your own—don’t go blaming others."

Carson was still so young. Confronted by her sudden denial, he froze, his mind struggling to process how the Sheryl he thought he knew could become this unfamiliar, harsh stranger. He stood there, stunned and motionless, for what felt like an eternity.

Seeing his dazed expression, Sheryl felt a flicker of fear. She worried that if Carson kept making a scene, it might attract others. Even if his status had fallen to match that of the sons from the first and second branches, he was still a Stone family descendant. If anything serious happened to him, she would be held responsible. Softening her tone, she coaxed him, "Come now, Young Master, let’s go back inside. Once the Madam has had time to forgive you, she’ll surely allow you to return."

The price is only 1/4 of what others charge
