Rebirth Revenge Is Everything (Ariana) novel Chapter 791

Hearing her uncle’s words, Kiara suddenly had a flash of insight.

Of course, Jane wouldn’t have gone to such lengths to return just because of her. Kiara knew she wasn’t important enough to warrant that kind of attention. So, was Jane back to cause trouble for Ariana? The thought made Kiara uneasy, a knot of anxiety tightening in her chest.

On the other end, Ariana nodded calmly. “Understood,” she said.

She didn’t share her father’s level of vigilance toward a former rival she’d already bested. Still, she knew better than to let her guard down completely. After all, if Jane had managed to stage a comeback after everything that had happened, then Ariana had clearly underestimated her.

Meanwhile, Carson was slowly drifting off to sleep.

His brother’s warning glare had left him with little to do but sprawl listlessly to the side, lost in thought. Before long, the boredom lulled him into a drowsy haze, and he slipped into a light doze. Perhaps it was the twin connection at work, but Kevin soon felt the pull of sleep as well. His large eyes grew heavy-lidded, and his head began to nod faintly.

Ariana couldn’t help but smile at the sight.

Just then, the sound of a car pulling up outside caught her attention—she recognized it immediately as Lambert’s.

Seizing the moment, she turned to her father. “Dad, I’ll take the children home now. Call me if you need anything.”

Gilbert’s heart ached at the thought of his grandsons leaving.

But he knew it was getting late, so he didn’t press them to stay. “Alright, off you go,” he said warmly. “Bring them back to visit often. With just me and Kiara at home now, it’s far too quiet.”

Ariana chuckled softly. “I will.”

Lucian had been listening closely all along. The moment he heard his mother and grandfather exchanging goodbyes, he knew it was time to go home.

So he quickly woke up all his younger brothers.

Carson, roused from his drowsiness, looked dazed and disoriented. Before he could even utter a word, his small hand was grasped by his eldest brother, and he was half-consciously led to the door. Yawning sleepily, Carson leaned against his big brother, trying to drift back to sleep.

This was the scene that greeted Lambert when he entered.

He instinctively raised an eyebrow.

Gilbert, seeing his grandsons in such a state, couldn’t help but chuckle. “They must have played too hard today,” he remarked.

Carson was Gilbert’s favorite among the children.

Though the boy was a bit too energetic at times, elderly people tend to appreciate lively children more as they grow older. Besides, Gilbert had become more patient over the years, so Carson’s boisterousness didn’t bother him in the slightest. On the contrary, he adored his spirited little grandson even more.

By then, Carson was still leaning sleepily against his eldest brother, dozing off.

Kevin, on the other hand, had mostly shaken off his drowsiness and was fairly awake.

But Carson kept swaying unsteadily, nearly toppling over at one point. Seeing this, Ariana frowned. Just as she was about to pick up her son, Lambert reached out and scooped the boy into his arms effortlessly.

The little one seemed unaware that he had been lifted. He merely blinked his eyes open groggily, glanced around with a vacant expression, and then closed them again. Resting his chin on his father’s shoulder, he smacked his lips contentedly and slipped back into a sweet dream.

“Let’s go,” Lambert said.

Ariana was left speechless.

Kiara, witnessing the scene, stifled a laugh. She nudged Ariana and said with a playful wink, “See you tomorrow, Ariana.”

"...See you tomorrow."

With that, the family stepped out of the White family residence. The chauffeur, spotting Mr. Stone and his wife, hurriedly opened the car door. Kevin and the others got in first. Lucian assumed their parents would follow, but to his surprise, after their father bundled their youngest brother into the car, he signaled the driver to close the door.
