The Love I Begged For Was Never Real novel Chapter 545

Gideon's hand, about to change the towel, suddenly froze.

He looked at Nora, her face covered in tears on the sickbed, watching her agonizing struggle, and his heart violently contracted in pain.

He threw down the towel, grabbing Nora's left hand that was flailing in mid-air, and clasped it tightly in his palm.

"I'm here. Nora, I'm here."

Gideon's eyes grew red, his voice trembling violently.

"Nora, wake up."

Gideon called out in a low voice, trying to pull her back from the nightmare.

He leaned down, pressing his cheek against the back of her hand, attempting to use his own warmth to chase away the terrors of her dream.

"No one is going to hurt you... I'm right here with you..."

The scene on the rooftop shattered once again.

Freezing rain washed over her body mercilessly.

She was pinned tightly to the muddy ground by two towering bodyguards, completely immobilized.

Julian Pierce stood before her, and the bodyguard beside him gripped an iron pipe.

His usually gentle and refined face was now plastered with a cruel, cold sneer.

The bodyguard raised the iron pipe, aiming it squarely at her right hand pinned against the earth.

"No..."

Nora's eyes widened in terror; she struggled frantically, desperate to yank her hand back.

The iron pipe whistled fiercely through the air, smashing heavily against the back of her hand.

"It hurts..."

"My hands hurt so much..."

Nora completely lost her reason in the nightmare.

She struggled violently on the real bed, desperately trying to pull her hands free from Gideon's grip as if it were her last lifeline.

Tears flowed endlessly like broken strings of pearls, streaming from the corners of her eyes and soaking half the pillow.
