An intense bitterness spread through her mouth.
Nora was forced to swallow the liquid, a muffled whimper escaping her throat.
After feeding her that mouthful, Gideon pulled back slightly, wiping away a drop of medicine that had spilled from the corner of her lips with his thumb.
Restrained, dark emotions surged in his eyes, and his voice was tense.
"Will you drink it yourself, or should I keep feeding you this way?"
Nora glared at him, her chest heaving violently.
She knew Gideon was a man of his word; if she kept resisting, he truly would feed her the entire bowl of medicine exactly like that.
She reached out with her left hand, snatched the medicine bowl from Gideon, tilted her head back, closed her eyes, and downed the bitter medicine in one single gulp.
Gideon watched her finish the medicine, a flicker of satisfied amusement passing through his eyes.
He took the empty bowl, turned to grab a piece of candy he had prepared earlier, unwrapped the foil, and held it to her lips.
"Have a piece of candy to wash away the bitter taste."
Nora turned her head away, completely ignoring the candy, yanked the covers over herself, and rolled over to present her back to him.
Gideon watched as she bundled herself up like a silkworm cocoon, and set the candy down on a nearby tissue.
He sat quietly in the chair, gazing at her with absolute tenderness.
After breakfast, Dr. Scott brought in the medical team with various pieces of equipment into the master bedroom.
The examinations lasted for two hours.
All the samples were sent to the temporary lab next door for expedited analysis.
The medical team packed up their equipment and exited the master bedroom.
Nora pulled her covers back up and, under the influence of the medication, fell into a deep sleep once more.
Around noon.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Love I Begged For Was Never Real
Storyline is good..but author is wasting time on character's thoughts.why r u streching chapters it's really really boring and annoying.conversation between them childish.she is only saying him get out n what right do u have ..not telling him what he did to her not questioning him..demanding answer. And what happened to him why sudden change of heart care to explain author.....
For the past few chapters either she is sick or he is. It is slightly boring. Author pls let them talk about the issues , she is not at all scolding him.. every scoldings are playing in her mind only. We want some talk between them....
I am also thinking the same....
Has he mistaken Nora as Giselle?...
What happened to him🤔 did he forget everything?...
Hey can u also upload the book " woke up married to my cheating ex"....
Does he know the orphan girl is actually Nora?...
So is he trying to justify everything? At wat rite??? Wer were he wen she needed him the most.......
Haha finally going to see redemption...
I don’t think reborn will happen in this novel. It will be full of her blood only. Actually The title should be changed to only Nora’s suffering instead the love I begged was never real....
