Betrayed and Dumped She Rose Stronger Than Ever novel Chapter 320

Cindy pulled into the parking lot at Skyline Capital with Rebecca and the rest of the team. As soon as she turned off the engine, her phone buzzed. Stephen’s name flashed on the screen. She slid to answer.

“Hey. What’s up?”

Stephen sounded serious. “Are you at Skyline Capital right now?”

“Yeah, we just got here. About to head inside. Is something going on?”

“I found something out. I’ll need your help later.”

“Oh? What is it? What do you need me to do?”

Rebecca’s voice called out in the background. “Cindy, let’s go up.”

Stephen heard Rebecca’s voice and paused, struggling to hold back whatever he wanted to say. He took a deep breath.

“You handle your stuff for now. We’ll talk at home tonight.”

Cindy shrugged it off and hung up.

The group made their way to the elevators. Just as they reached the lobby, they spotted the NovaStack Cloud crew heading in their direction. Bruce walked in front, Sonja on his arm, Shawn at his other side. And… Alan was with them.

Rebecca’s eyes narrowed. What was Alan doing here?

NovaStack Cloud definitely noticed them too. Rebecca had zero interest in interacting, but some people just didn’t know when to quit.

Sonja acted like nothing was wrong. She clung to Bruce’s arm and waved with a bright smile. “Rebecca! What a small world. You guys here for the pitch too?”

“And what about me? I’m your father. Ever since we found each other again, you’ve never even smiled at me, never called me ‘Dad.’ I don’t know what Samantha’s been teaching you all these years, but she clearly didn’t teach you any respect or manners.”

Alan’s words landed like a slap in the quiet elevator, finally lighting a fire in Rebecca’s chest.

She could swallow every insult they threw at her, but her mother was off-limits. She wouldn’t let anyone talk about her, especially not Alan—the man who had abandoned them both.

All these years, it had just been her and her mom, looking out for each other. Samantha had given her everything she could. What had Alan ever given them?

A man who never acted like a father had no right to judge them.

Rebecca lifted her chin. Her voice was soft but every word cut deep, straight to Alan’s heart.
