Betrayed and Dumped: She Rose Stronger Than Ever novel Chapter 321

“Alan, listen up. Bringing a child into this world doesn’t make you a father. You walked away from us, and that’s not what a real man does.”

“For twenty-three years, ever since you left my mom, you missed everything. Now you think you can just show up and say ‘I’m your dad’ like that means something? You want me to feel guilty? No way. Legally, you actually owe my mom child support, with interest. Morally, you owe me twenty-three years of love from a father, and that’s a debt you’ll never pay off. Don’t talk to me about respect until you learn what responsibility means. Settle what you owe, then maybe we can talk about what it means to be a father. Until then, you’re nothing more than a warning for everyone else.”

Alan’s face turned red. He didn’t expect Rebecca to call him out like this in front of everyone. “You…”

Rebecca brushed her hair aside and shot him a cold smile. “I’ve done the math. Raising me cost at least a few million. But I’ll be nice and round it down for you. Just transfer five million to my mom.”

Alan was stunned. Five million?

He didn’t have a spare cent. Where was he supposed to get that kind of money?

After all those years of living with the Campbell family, Avery decided his yearly salary would be one dollar, using the excuse that they were family and didn’t need to keep track of money.

Honestly, Alan had to ask Avery for cash just to buy a pack of cigarettes.

Sonja frowned, jumping in to defend Alan. “Rebecca, he’s still your dad. Isn’t this a bit much?”

“Great. Why don’t you pay for him?” Rebecca smirked, turning to her. “Miss Campbell, you’re his daughter too, sort of. You’re always so reasonable and considerate, way better than me. I bet you’d be happy to take care of it, right?”

Sonja choked on her words.

Using Alan to get at Rebecca was all she wanted. She would never give him money.

“Rebecca, that’s not how it works. How can you ask you father for money like this?”

“Oh, so you’re not paying. Got it.”
