Betrayed and Dumped: She Rose Stronger Than Ever novel Chapter 347

Sonja froze for a second, then a smirk curled on her lips. “You already called me, and now you ask if it’s a good time? What if I said it isn’t?”

“I… I’m sorry, Sonja. I really wouldn’t have called if I had anyone else. I heard you’re getting engaged to Mr. Lamont. Congratulations, I—”

“Just say what you want. My time’s expensive.”

“Sonja, I have nowhere to go. Can I stay at your place for a few days? I remember you have a spare apartment you never use…”

Sonja almost laughed. What a fool, thinking she could just crash at her place.

Ever since Lottie had fallen out with Rebecca for good, she’d lost her value as a pawn. Sonja felt like even talking to her was a waste of breath.

Still, she didn’t mind giving the situation one last nudge.

“Fine. Where are you right now? I’ll send someone to pick you up.”

Lottie sounded like she was about to cry. “Sonja, thank you, really… you’ve always been so good to me. I’m useless, I know I’ve never been able to do much for you.”

Sonja picked at her ear, then hung up.

She sent Will a voice message. “Your little plaything is back. I’ll send you the address. Go get her.”

Her lips curved into a bright, almost dazzling smile. “This time, do whatever you want. I’m staying out of it.”

Lottie waited outside forever, her stomach grumbling with hunger, but she didn’t dare go to any restaurant nearby. What if Morris’ people were still hanging around?

She looked down at herself, still in pajamas. The night air sent a chill through her.

After more than an hour, hungry and shivering, a car finally pulled up in front of her.

She didn’t hesitate. She jumped right in and urged the driver, “Please, just go.”

She finally relaxed a little after the car had been driving for about twenty minutes, merging onto the main road.

That’s when she noticed there was a man in the back seat.

He was staring at her, half-smiling, like he was sizing up his next meal.
