Betrayed and Dumped: She Rose Stronger Than Ever novel Chapter 346

“Morris, let me handle this. Go take care of your own business,” Madison said, her voice calm but firm. “Trust me, I know what I’m doing.”

Morris’s brows pulled together. “Don’t tell me you’re really thinking of giving her twenty million. Not a chance. I’ll never acknowledge that bastard.”

He pulled out a cigarette, lit it, and took a slow drag, his tone icy. “She’s not keeping that baby. Take her to the hospital and get it done now.”

Madison’s eyes went wide. “She’s over five months along. An abortion now could kill her.”

Morris shot a cold look at Lottie, who stood pale and shaking. “Her life doesn’t matter. If she dies, so be it.”

It was a bright, warm day, but Lottie felt a cold sweat run down her back.

Only now did she truly see how ruthless Morris could be. Up until today, she’d foolishly thought he was just another spoiled rich kid, all play and no real sense of responsibility.

She’d been so wrong.

No, she couldn’t let Morris take her. If she went with him, she might never come back.

Her dark eyes locked onto the door, searching for a chance to escape.

“Don’t do anything stupid, son,” Madison said, her voice shaking. “Her life might not be worth much, but yours is. Don’t throw away your future because of her.”

“Mom, relax. I’ll handle it cleanly. No one will be able to trace it back to me.”

“You idiot, this is a human life. Who can guarantee everything will be perfect? Just don’t be reckless.”

“Mom, stay out of this.”

“You’re my son. My own flesh and blood. How am I supposed to stay out of it?”

Morris was losing patience with his mother’s nagging. When he realized he couldn’t change her mind, he lit another cigarette.

By the time he finished, he looked up and suddenly noticed that Lottie, who’d been hiding behind Madison, was gone.
