Betrayed and Dumped She Rose Stronger Than Ever novel Chapter 390

She had seen just how powerful the Lamont family’s PR team could be. Back when Hector’s affair came to light and he brought home Bruce, who was barely a teenager, the news exploded online. Still, the Lamonts’ people swept every rumor off the internet in just two hours, like it had never happened.

This time though, as Sonja tapped open her phone and saw the headlines trending at the top, her whole body went cold.

Larkhaven College responds: Sonja Campbell was indeed a student here but was expelled for campus bullying.

Her phone slipped from her hand and hit the floor. Sonja could only think one thing. It’s over. Everything she’d tried so hard to hide was out in the open again.

Who did this? Who wanted her ruined so badly?

Meanwhile, Rebecca was lying in bed, scrolling through her phone because she couldn’t sleep. She noticed the posts about Sonja were blowing up again. All the topics that had died down earlier were now back at the top of the trending list. She saw the Larkhaven College statement, too.

“In that case, there’s no reason for us to get involved. This is going to be a huge mess. Sonja’s going to be busy enough trying to deal with it. We won’t have to worry about her causing us trouble.”

Stephen agreed. It was better to just watch everything play out from the sidelines.

Then something else occurred to him. “My uncle found out some things about Sonja at Larkhaven College. Back when the Campbell family was still powerful, they donated two libraries to Larkhaven’s new campus. That’s how Sonja got in as a special admission.”

“And she ended up in the same financial engineering program as my uncle. He hasn’t taught undergrads for a long time, so he had to ask around to learn about what happened back then.”

“After Sonja started at Larkhaven, she was arrogant and unpredictable. She formed her own clique and bullied her roommates constantly. Most of them ended up moving out, except for one girl who couldn’t afford to rent off campus. In the end, that girl…”
