Once she got out of the car, Sonja put on a mask and a hat, then made a beeline for Paradise.

Adam was hanging out in the lobby when he spotted Sonja marching in, looking like a storm about to break. He shot off a message to Shawn, then hurried over. “Sonja, what brings you here so early? Isn’t today supposed to be your engagement party?”

Sonja didn’t even answer. She raised her hand and slapped him, hard. “Take me to your boss.”

Adam had braced himself for this. He rubbed his cheek and tried to keep his tone light. “Of course, of course, please calm down. I’ll take you right away.”

In the manager’s office, Lucas practically bent over backwards to greet her. “Sonja, what a surprise. Please, have a seat.”

Sonja ignored the offer. She pulled up the photos she’d saved on her phone and dropped them right in front of Lucas and Adam. “So this is what you call privacy at Paradise? How did these pictures get out?”

Lucas and Adam exchanged a glance, then jumped in to explain. “Sonja, from the angle of these, there’s no way a hidden camera in the room took them. It looks more like… someone used a phone.”

“A phone? So now you’re saying it’s one of your staff and nothing to do with the club?”
