Betrayed and Dumped She Rose Stronger Than Ever novel Chapter 414

Rebecca glanced at her car. It wasn’t blocking anything at all. Sonja had obviously called her over on purpose.

She rolled her eyes, totally done, and started to walk away.

But Sonja’s voice sliced through the air, cold and mocking. “Rebecca, you really put on a show. Acting like nothing gets to you. Pretending you don’t care. Just like your trashy mom.”

Rebecca stopped.

Sonja’s lips twisted into a smug smile. She knew exactly what button to press. Samantha was Rebecca’s one weakness. It worked every single time.

Rebecca turned back, her face calm and steady. “Don’t you think Bruce might see you like this?”

Sonja burst out laughing. “Bruce won’t be back for ages. And guess what? No cameras here. So I’ve got nothing to worry about.”

“Oh. No cameras?” Rebecca’s voice was almost curious.

“That’s right. Not a single one.”

Just as the words left Sonja’s mouth, the sound of a slap cracked through the empty parking lot. Rebecca’s hand had landed hard across her face.

“No cameras? Perfect. Makes things a whole lot easier.”

Rebecca slapped her again, just as hard.

Sonja tried to get away, but in her ridiculous high heels, she could barely move. Rebecca caught her easily and yanked her hair.

“I try to ignore you, but you just beg for it. If I don’t give you what you deserve, I’d be letting myself down.”

Sonja screamed, “You bitch! How dare you hit me! I’m calling the cops! I’ll make sure everyone knows what you’re really like!”

Rebecca hit her twice more, sharp and fast, then lifted her chin. “No cameras. How exactly are you planning to prove anything? Go ahead, call the police. Maybe they’ll finally figure out what’s really going on online.”

Sonja’s eyes burned with fury, but she knew she was outmatched. Rebecca was taller, stronger, and she just couldn’t win this one. For now, she clamped her mouth shut.

“Smart. Glad you learned your lesson. I’ll let you off this time.” Rebecca let her go, brushed her hands together like she was done with the mess, and walked away.

Bruce’s brows pulled together. “Why would she do that?”

“Because… she wanted revenge! I just said a few things to her in the elevator. I never thought she’d actually hit me. She’s insane!”

But Bruce couldn’t shake the feeling that something was off. He glanced at Rebecca’s car, still parked nearby, engine off. He frowned even harder. “So where is she? Her car’s still here. She hit you and just walked away?”

Sonja could hear the suspicion in his voice. She shoved him away, furious. “What’s that supposed to mean? Are you saying I’m lying?”

“No, I just think something isn’t right.”

“You are! You don’t believe me!”

Bruce let out a sigh. “There should be security cameras here. Why don’t we get mall security?”

Sonja bit down on her lip, desperate. “There are no cameras here!”
