Rebirth Revenge Is Everything (Ariana) novel Chapter 754

At that moment, Kevin had no idea that his small, selfish thought would later influence Carson's actions. But for now, he was thoroughly pleased. At the very least, he would have his mother’s undivided attention for a long time—and in his heart, that was all that mattered.

Meanwhile, Ariana was at the Castro family's residence.

Fanny was munching on snacks, giggling without a care in the world, just like always. Ariana watched her with a mix of amusement and exasperation. She sighed softly and said, “Aren’t you pregnant now? Try to cut back on these snacks if you can.”

Yes, Ariana had come to the Castro family for one reason only: Fanny had bombarded her with endless calls early in the morning, insisting she come over immediately. The reason? Fanny was pregnant.

It was unexpected news. When Ariana first heard it, she was stunned. Then, as it sank in, a smile spread across her lips—she couldn’t help but feel genuinely happy for Fanny. With everything that had been happening in her own life lately, Ariana had lost track of how things were between Fanny and Damon. But now, with a baby on the way, it seemed their relationship was better than she’d imagined. That was a relief.

Watching Fanny stuff her cheeks with pastries, Ariana’s eyes softened with affection, though a faint trace of sorrow lingered in their depths. Her thoughts drifted to Allison. Allison had been in a vegetative state for two years now.

If she were still here and well, perhaps everything would be different.

Fanny noticed that Ariana seemed lost in thought and waved a hand in front of her face. "Hey, what's on your mind?"

Ariana snapped back to reality and shook her head. "Nothing, really."

Not particularly invested in what had distracted her friend, Fanny’s eyes sparkled mischievously as she leaned in with a grin. "Ariana, how about we go out shopping?"

"Let it go," Ariana replied flatly. "You’re staying home."

She knew Damon had instructed Fanny to stay indoors. Though she wasn’t sure of the exact reason, he must have had one. Besides, just a couple of days ago, she’d overheard Lambert mention that Damon had upset some people over a recent project. It was likely connected.

Under the circumstances, there was no way she’d agree to Fanny’s idea.

If anything went wrong, she’d never forgive herself.

Fanny pouted, dragging out her words pleadingly, "Oh, come on! Just for a little while—nothing’s going to happen. Please, Ariana? Just a short trip! I’ve got bodyguards, you’ve got bodyguards… what could possibly go wrong?" She hadn’t been able to enjoy herself properly since becoming pregnant and was practically climbing the walls from boredom.

But Ariana remained unmoved, listening coolly to Fanny’s whining without an ounce of sympathy. Fanny’s face darkened in frustration. Just as she was gearing up for another attempt at persuasion, Ariana’s phone rang.

Fanny immediately fell silent.

Ariana glanced at the screen—it was her father. He rarely called unless something was wrong.

A tense look crossed her face as she answered the call.

Before she could even speak, her father’s anxious voice came through: "Ariana, where are you? Can you come home right away? Something’s happened to Kiara."

...

When Ariana arrived at the White family's residence, she found her father sitting silently on the living room sofa.

Just moments ago, as he sat there alone, his mind had been racing, trying to figure out who could have taken Kiara.

Kiara was far too obedient to have run away on her own.

The only possibility was that she had been kidnapped.

But who would want to kidnap Kiara?

She wasn’t the heir to the White family, and with the White Group’s current state, what would anyone gain from abducting her? For a fleeting moment, Ariana’s mind jumped to Georgia, but she quickly dismissed the thought. She knew Georgia well enough—no matter how ruthless she could be, she wouldn’t target Kiara.

As absurd as it seemed, Gilbert had to face the truth: Georgia genuinely loved his younger brother. Out of that affection, she would never harm his daughter.

Her past displays of fondness for Kiara couldn’t have been entirely fake.

That left only one other possibility: Jane, who had been missing for a long time. But… could it really be Jane? Ariana was reluctant to believe it. After all, Jane was Kiara’s own sister.

“I understand,” Ariana said, pressing her lips together. She fell silent for a couple of seconds before continuing, “Don’t worry, I’ll get to the bottom of this. I’ll bring Kiara back safe and sound.” Just like Gilbert, Ariana’s suspicions had turned toward Jane.

But if Jane had kidnapped Kiara, why hadn’t she made any ransom demands or threats? What could her motive possibly be?

Though it made little sense, the urgency of the situation was undeniable. Ariana had no idea how long Kiara had been in the kidnapper’s hands, what condition she was in, or what the abductor truly wanted. All she could do was hope that Kiara was unharmed. As long as the kidnapper had a goal, there was room for negotiation. Where there was a motive, there was a way to resolve this.
