Rebirth Revenge Is Everything (Ariana) novel Chapter 777

In the past few days, ever since Ariana returned from her overseas trip injured and visibly unsettled, Lambert had been restraining himself. But today, seeing her in a rare good mood, his long-suppressed desire flared up, becoming impossible to ignore.

Ariana: "..."

A blush crept across Ariana's cheeks. She instinctively shied away, her voice a mixture of embarrassment, annoyance, and helplessness. "Stop fooling around."

Lambert raised an eyebrow, a playful glint in his eyes. "Oh? Does it look like I'm fooling around?"

Perhaps affected by the intensity of his gaze, Ariana's face grew even redder. Finally, she chose to pretend she hadn't heard him, clearing her throat softly as she stood up to fetch a book, feigning deep interest in its pages.

A slow, knowing smile spread across Lambert's lips, his eyes crinkling with unmistakable amusement.

He rose and headed toward the bathroom.

Ariana paused, momentarily confused, and called out without thinking, "Where are you going?"

Lambert glanced back at her, then put on an exaggeratedly pitiful expression. "What else? Taking care of some... urgent business. Since my wife hasn't given the green light, I wouldn't dare, now would I?" He made it sound as though he were the most long-suffering man alive.

Ariana's face flushed an even deeper shade of crimson.

She had to fight the urge to hurl the book in her hands right at his smug face.

After a visible internal struggle, she finally muttered under her breath, her tone dripping with resignation, "It's not even evening yet."

Deliberately wanting to tease her further, Lambert feigned confusion. "What was that?"

Ariana took a steadying breath. "...Wait until tonight."

The three short words were forced out through gritted teeth by Ariana. Lambert couldn’t hold back any longer and burst into hearty laughter. A warm, gentle light shimmered in his dark eyes, softening their usual intensity. He blinked playfully and said, “Yes, ma’am.”

Ariana ignored him, shooting him a sharp glare before settling back against the pillows with her book.

But a closer look would reveal that the book in her hands was upside down, and her gaze was drifting, unfocused. It was clear her mind was far from the pages.

Lambert knew when to stop.

He didn’t tease her further and instead headed back toward the bathroom.

“Why are you going to the bathroom again?” Ariana asked, puzzled by his actions.

“To take a shower, of course. That way, you won’t complain about me smelling like sweat later. If you did, I might not be able to control myself,” he replied, half-joking, half-serious.

“…” Ariana stared at him silently for three seconds before motioning for him to get lost inside.

Lambert chuckled softly again and obediently disappeared into the bathroom.

Only after he was gone did the burning flush on Ariana’s face begin to fade. She glanced down at the book in her hands, and as her emotions slowly settled, a thought suddenly occurred to her. She picked up her phone and dialed a number.

Gilbert’s birthday soon arrived.

This time, the celebration was organized by Ariana, with Kiara assisting. At first, Kiara was a bit flustered and disorganized, but after a few days of practice, she gradually became more capable and efficient.

This came as a slight relief to Ariana.
