Rebirth Revenge Is Everything (Ariana) novel Chapter 780

Confronted with such gentle persuasion, even if Ariana had a torrent of words bottled up inside, now was not the moment to voice them.

She quietly ate the fish Lambert had meticulously picked clean for her, deciding it would be better to discuss the children’s upbringing later, once they were back in their room.

Unaware that this was what occupied Ariana’s thoughts, Lambert watched as she silently accepted his care, a glimmer of amusement flickering in his eyes.

Lucian remained silent, while Kevin’s earlier gloom had already lifted.

He stole a discreet glance at his father and mother, then resolved to pretend he didn’t notice the saccharine atmosphere saturating the entire dining room. Carson, being rather oblivious, hadn’t picked up on anything, but he could feel the deep affection between his parents.

A faint sense of wistfulness tugged at his heart.

If only Mother would treat him with the same tenderness she reserved for Father.

Lucian, on the other hand, was genuinely pleased by his parents’ closeness. Now growing older, he was beginning to understand more mature matters—like how the strength of a couple’s bond directly influenced the stability of their marriage. Personally, he much preferred the current warm and harmonious family dynamic. The thought of ending up like one of his classmates, whose parents had divorced, haunted him. That boy’s father had remarried, and now, with a new baby on the way, all his attention had shifted to the unborn half-sibling.

Every time Lucian saw that classmate, his heart ached. A quiet dread would stir within him—the fear that one day, his own family might fracture in the same way.

That was also why, whenever Carson acted up, Lucian would frown and shoot him a warning look.

He couldn’t bear the thought of his parents quarreling over something so trivial.

At this thought, Lucian was reminded of Lexie, who had been whispering in his ear lately. A flicker of complexity and conflict passed through his eyes, but he ultimately swallowed his words and decided not to bring it up to his parents.

While the Stone Family household was filled with warmth and laughter, Kiara remained trapped in her own worries. She glanced down at her watch, her patience dwindling with each passing minute. Just as she ran out of patience and stood up to leave, the person who had asked to meet her finally arrived—fashionably late. Noticing Kiara’s intention to leave, the woman raised an eyebrow and smirked. "Couldn’t even wait a little longer?"

Kiara shot her a cold stare. "Why did you ask me here?"

The woman was none other than Jane, who had left the country years ago. But the Jane standing before her now was almost unrecognizable. Dressed in expensive-looking, custom-tailored clothes, she wore light, understated makeup that accentuated her delicate features. A hint of casual elegance lingered in the curve of her eyes and brows. Every gesture and movement carried a sophistication that was worlds apart from the Jane of the past. She exuded maturity and an intellectual charm.

But Kiara looked at her with undisguised disgust. "What exactly do you want to say? I have things to do and don’t have time to waste on you."

Faced with Kiara’s icy indifference, even Jane’s well-practiced composure finally cracked. She let out a cold laugh, a mocking smile playing on her lips. "Kiara, I suggest you adjust your tone when speaking to me." After all, Jane was no longer the person she used to be. She had returned with powerful backing—enough to face both the White and Stone families without fear.

That's why she had returned.

And her return was, of course, for revenge. Revenge against the White family, who had cast her out, and against Ariana, the one who had sent her to prison—she hated them all, every single member of the White family, including Kiara. Even though she was merely a mistress, over the past two years, hadn't everyone treated her with deference out of respect for the powerful man backing her?

The price is only 1/4 of what others charge
