That evening, Stephen showed up with a gift in hand, ready to celebrate with Rebecca.
When his sister texted him the address, he frowned hard. Paradise. The name alone was enough to make anyone suspicious.
He pulled up to the place and stared at the neon sign flashing above the door, so bright and colorful it could blind you. His lips twitched. That’s when it hit him. Paradise was the new spot in town, but it didn’t cater to the usual crowd. This place was for young girls with money to burn. The main attraction was the most gorgeous guys you could imagine, all hired to pour on the charm. Girls came here for their looks and bodies, not for the drinks.
Stephen remembered hearing about this place at a business dinner once. An older client, probably in his fifties, had grumbled about his daughter being obsessed with Paradise’s top guy. She wouldn’t go on dates or even think about marriage, and it was driving him up the wall. Stephen had just laughed it off then, telling the man to relax. “If men can have their fun, why can’t women? Times are changing. You have to catch up.”
Now, though, with the situation flipped on him, Stephen wasn’t sure how to feel.
He went upstairs, found the private room, and pushed open the door. The first thing he saw were two guys—both so good-looking it was hard to find the right words—sitting on either side of Rebecca, practically falling over themselves to make her happy.
His own sister was on the other end of the couch, making heart eyes at a guy with wild, punked-out hair.
Stephen’s chest tightened, and he yanked at his tie, but it didn’t help. That’s when he realized the tie wasn’t the problem.
“Hey, Stephen,” Cindy called out, grinning as she walked over. “Wow, you even brought Rebecca a present. Let me see.”
He batted her hand away, shooting a look at the guy with the ridiculous hair. “Go wash your hands,” Stephen said, voice cold. “They look filthy.”
Cindy blinked at him, confused for a second, then caught on and pouted. “These guys are all new. They haven’t even had any clients yet.”
Clients. Stephen’s expression darkened even more.
