Rebecca heard the laughter and saw her coworkers waving her over. She was easy to get along with, so no one ever really felt intimidated by her. Now they were practically begging her to join in. She smiled, about to say no, but then someone called out, “Mr. Duncan, you should come too!”

Rebecca’s eyes went wide. Seriously? They were way too bold. She tried to warn him off with a smile. “You know, they can get a little out of hand when they play. You don’t have to…”

Before she could finish, Stephen got up and brushed off his pants. “Come on. Let’s go.”

Rebecca sighed.

The game was simple. They spun an empty beer bottle on the floor. Wherever the bottle pointed, that person had to choose truth or dare. The guy glanced at Rebecca and immediately turned red. Rebecca didn’t even notice, lost in her own thoughts, but Stephen caught everything. He narrowed his eyes and raised an eyebrow at the poor guy.
