Betrayed and Dumped: She Rose Stronger Than Ever novel Chapter 315

“Alright, alright, you’ve got a point.”

The three of them left the store and headed downstairs. After everything that just happened, none of them felt like shopping anymore, so they split up and went home.

Inside, the boutique fell quiet.

It was getting late, and with no new customers in sight, the two sales clerks started chatting without holding back.

“Tonight was honestly wild. Did you see Miss Bernan? So young, tossing money around like it’s nothing. I thought for sure she was some rich heiress. Turns out she’s just a mistress trying to climb up by having a kid with some rich guy. I can’t even.”

“Ugh, stuff like that happens all the time. But what really stings is Ms. Duncan. Who would’ve thought she’d leave without buying a thing? If she’d checked out tonight, I wouldn’t have to worry about my commission for half a year.”

“It’s all because of her friend. So broke she couldn’t even afford a dress that costs six figures. She ruined Ms. Duncan’s mood and cost you a huge sale. Total bad luck. Next time I see her, I’m not letting her in.”

“You’re so right!”

The manager stepped out of the office at the back. She’d been on a call with headquarters all night and only just finished. When she heard them gossiping, she frowned. “How many times do I have to say this? No talking about customers in the store. Is it really that hard to remember? That’s a two-thousand dollar fine each for breaking the rules.”

The two clerks went pale and didn’t dare argue. The rules were spelled out in black and white in the handbook.

Just then, a tall man with an effortless sense of style walked over from the shop across the way. He carried a shopping bag from a major luxury brand and had the kind of presence that screamed money.

The shorter clerk’s eyes sparkled. She figured she could make up the money she’d just lost.
