Betrayed and Dumped: She Rose Stronger Than Ever novel Chapter 344

Madison hadn’t slept through the night in weeks. If this kept up, she’d be dead before she ever laid eyes on her grandchild. Enough was enough. The decision was made. She’d let Lottie keep the baby, but today, she was going to handle things herself and talk to Lottie face to face.

There was no way she’d ever let Lottie marry her son. But money was negotiable. Fifty million was a lot, maybe too much, but with some bargaining, she could get that number down.

Morris sat at the end of the long dining table, quietly watching every shift in her face as he ate his breakfast. He didn’t say a word, and Madison, lost in her own thoughts, didn’t even notice how uncharacteristically silent he was.

After breakfast, Madison had the butler drive her to the city apartment. She was so focused on her plans that she never noticed the car trailing them all the way there.

She took the elevator up to the tenth floor and knocked. When Lottie opened the door and saw Madison standing there, she was honestly surprised. She had refused to see her no matter how many times she’d tried before. Now, she just showed up out of nowhere. Weird.

The maid from the old house let Madison in. Right away, Madison spotted Lottie sprawled out on the sofa, eyes glued to the TV. Lottie barely glanced up, her tone slow and lazy as she asked, “What are you doing here? Did you finally decide to have your son marry me?”

Madison’s eyes swept over the coffee table. Chips, half-eaten instant noodles, fried chicken, ice-cream… Her lips twitched. Was this all junk food?

“I’ve told you not to eat this garbage. There’s a maid here, if you want something, ask her to cook for you!” Madison pinched her nose, disgusted, and told the maid to toss out everything on the table.

Lottie just shrugged. “Hey, your grandkid likes this stuff. What can I do?”

Madison took a slow breath, her patience wearing thin. Lottiewould never be good enough for her son. She hung up her purse, sat down across from Lottie, snatched the remote, and turned off the noisy TV.
