She hesitated, biting her lip, then continued, “Cindy, promise me you won’t take this out on anyone. And you have to get your brother to stay calm, too. Honestly, I don’t think the demotion is that big of a deal. I’m still a VP. My team still answers to me. Brett’s the Executive President, but he’s not going to be doing all the day-to-day work himself. So really, nothing much has changed for me. I just report to Brett instead of your brother now.
